How to set TTL in bulk (via Bulk Edit spreadsheet)

There are times when you might want to automatically delete your short links for time-based advertising and marketing campaigns once the links have expired.

For those scenarios we recommend setting TTL (Time To Live) parameter from the Bulk spreadsheets section.

Once the links are deleted, we will also reduce your overall link count. This allows you to tidy up your dashboard and lower your expenses.

Note: The TTL parameter should be configured at least one week in advance of the current time for it to function correctly. And unlike expiring links, deleting a link by TTL can be delayed by an hour or two.

To set TTL link expiration in bulk

  1. Sign in to your Short.io account.

  2. In the Dashboard navigate to the Branded links panel and click on Sheets:

You may be asked to grant additional access to Short.io:

After the access is granted, an empty Google Sheet is displayed.

  3. Manually paste the links to be shortened in the required Original URL cells. You can also fill in values in other optional columns such as link slugs, tags and UTM parameters, to name a few:

  4. Scroll right to find the TTL column and add the needed dates:

  5. Click on Create links. The shortened links appear in the Short URL column and the status is marked as OK:

You can now review the links from the Branded links panel:
