It is not necessary to register a new domain name for shortening links if you own one that works properly. Create a subdomain using a domain you already have.

Note: Before using Spaceship for a subdomain, enable the service for your main domain.

When your main domain is active in Spaceship, add a subdomain.

Spaceship configurations

  2. In the Launchpad's search field enter Advanced DNS and click on the result link that appears:

  3. In the Advanced DNS settings click on the domain that you want to configure:

  4. In the next screen navigate to the DNS records panel and click on Add record -> CNAME:

  5. Configure the record as follows:

    • Host: <your-subdomain-name>
