If your current link shortener no longer matches your needs and criteria, you can simply import the links to Short.io without losing the original URLs and associated data. You can also create your own CSV file with the required information for the short links.

To import your links to Short.io

  1. Request your current URL shortener to export all the links in a file or prepare your own CSV file.

  2. Sign in to your Short.io account.

  3. In the Dashboard navigate to the Branded links panel and click on Import:

  4. Select the file exported from another shortener

or click on CSV Import and then upload or drag the CSV file which you created:

  5. The CSV file is loaded and you need to do a mapping of the columns by selecting the appropriate data:

  6. Check the Mark first line as headers checkbox if your CSV contains column names.

  7. Click on Confirm.

The links are imported and all the properties are set accordingly.
